FROM ONE GENERATION TO THE NEXT
Stories remembered from childhood
Stories preserved for a new generation
Lakhvinder S. Madahar is available for school and library visits, children's storytelling sessions, community events and literary gatherings.
Through his books, Lakhvinder can share not only the stories themselves, but the childhood memories behind them — growing up in rural Punjab, listening to stories passed from one generation to another, and experiencing a way of village and farming life that has changed enormously over the past fifty years.
Sessions can be adapted to suit different age groups and may include readings, storytelling, question-and-answer sessions, discussions about Punjab and its traditions, and the journey from a childhood memory to a finished illustrated book.
